PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THREAD!!! IT HAS REALLY IMPORTANT INFO TO USE THE GUN SAFELY AND CORRECTLY


yo wassup guys i had recently expierienced a potato gun that me n my homie had made. i didn't think that it would be all that great and its an immature thing to ---- around wit but damn! after 2 weeks of talkin about making it we've finally made it. i don't have any pics of it right now but i will have some pics up asap!
so let me tell u guys about my expierience...so my homie tells me lets go make one so we headed over to home depot and got the parts which consist of ...
-3 feet of 5 inch PLUMBERS piping
-3 feet of 3 inch PLUMBERS piping
-a bbq ignitor ( u can use one from an old bbq if it has a starter on it)
-bottle of plumbers glue
-a reducer
-and a screw cap for the piping or whatevers iono u'll see it in the pix

so yea first u take the 5 inch piping and cut it in half, this will be the chamber for the fumes, and than after u cut it in half, drill a hole about the size of the bbq ignitor and put the ignitor in to see if it fits. if it fits than take the plumbers glue and and glue around the ignitor and insert it back into the drilled hole. when inserted back into the hole, check to see if the ignitor sparks. if it sparks than your good. after inserting and making sure it sparks glue around the ignitor on the outside near the button. make sure its a thick layer of glue and let it dry. doing so will keep any heat from piercing through a thin layer of glue and burning your thumb when shooting the damn thing. after letting it dry, take the 3 inch piping and the reducer and glue the 3 inch piping into the reducer. glue it really well so it stays good and secure after drying. after glueing the reducer and 3 inch piping together, than glue the reducer and 3 inch piping to the 5 inch piping also making sure its secure after drying. when all dry, glue the bottom screw housing piece? to the bottom of the 5 inch piping and wait till it drys secure also. when all that shiet is done hammer a nail into the 3 inch piping near the reducer so it keeps the potatoes from going to far down.

so now that its all put together now its the moment of truth! lol get the biggest potatoes u can get from the store and shove it into the 3 inch piping end. when it makes that queef sound when pushing the potato down the piping that means its gonna be a good one. so anyways u can push the potato down with a pole or whatevers till it stops at the nail u put in there. than unscrew the bottom cap and spray any flammable aerosol or however u spell that shiet such as hair spray, axe body spray etc...into the bottom and screw the cap back on we have done test and found that axe body spray is the best way to get the best shot tite and aim up and push the ignitor. the potato will shoot out and high speed and that shiet will make a loud boom! lol

WARNING! dont shoot at people or anything that can break. shoot in an open area or at a brick wall or something. this can seriously cause injuries so please be careful. also!!!!!! if the potato gun doesnt do shiet when u press the ignitor please done point the gun at anyone right after or look inside the gun. the gun may still shoot!!!! so if this does happen, unscrew the bottom cap and put more spray and close it again and attempt to shoot the gun again. if it still doesnt werk that means theres too much spray in there. so take off the cap again and spray more axe and ignite the ignitor with the cap off so it can burn off the extra fumes, and make sure the gun is still not pointed at anyone this should help to fire the next round. also if intense heat burst through the ignitor area again, than stop use and put more glue around that area. also please do not use anthing other than axe or hairspray. i am not sure what gas or propane will do and it could be very dangerous so please do not use. we know axe is safe to use so we recommend that to use

you got that all wrong. you need to put a valve stem in the fume chamber and fill that bitch to about 200psi.
this one is a little different because we didnt have a valve stem, but you get the idea. ive also made them with gauges. hairspray/gas/lighter fluid has nothing on an air powered potato gun. I cleared a restraunt, intersection, another restraunt, a gas station and into a house with this ******. (about a half a mile)

really? hMm....ive never heard of them made your way is there ne way u can post the way u make yours and maybe i can try it out. lol but yea the way i do it is pretty cool cuz at night u see a fat *** flame and a u get a big *** boom outta it but yea yours sounds pretty sick

I have always used my mini gas/oxygen (on a plastic style backpack) as propelent. .. it shot a can of beans through the tree in my backyard...

i also made a marble shooter with compressed air, that was sick.

it isnt to difficult. just where you put the ignitor, put a valve stem. I used PVC sealer to make it seal from the inside, let that sit for about 20min then silicone the living ---- out of it on the outside. Let that sit over-night. works perfect. make sure everything is sealed really good or else its gonna leak. Make sure the silicone is good and sealed or else that ---- will be a mess. silicone it one night, go fire it the next night.

the best part about this, you can fill it up but dont have to fire it right away. so you can fill it, drive it to the ------- down the streets house and put a potato through his window. We used to shoot them at drive-thru's

I've seen plenty of those, but my company blows up plastic pipe for a living. We test the burst pressure and type of failure, etc. Anyway I just wanted to let you guys know that you really shouldn't use PVC, cause if the potato gets stuck and the pipe fails that ---- shrapnels like a grenade. You need to use poly-ethelene like the gas company does. If that ---- breaks, it will just bubble out the side. Great fun though.

ive built one of these before, had great results, used a 3ft 2.5" piece that went into a 4inch-2.5inch reducer, on the 4" side was glued with a 4" round piece about a foot long and a female end with a cap, just hot glued the bbq ignitor in and took that ---- outside, at least 80 yards and at night that whole fuckn thing would light up and sounded like a shot gun, just used hair spray.
