pulled of the IM leak down test time the middle valve blows air in all 4 cylinders so they is slighly bent.. the tools is not quite a torx but a friend of mine replaced vavles in a head and used a torx socket to remove it any way i bought the dam tool on ebay for 20bux ching bing ---- :1 next who said dont try to remove the chain or the timming will be half a tooth off wtf vw are gay but i dont think that will be an issue if i do it carefully
20$ head bolt tool
13$ per intake valve X4 so 52$ toatl intake valves
t belt and water pump 147$
HG 60
exhaust valves??# bent 22$ each

On top of the transmission bellhousing there is a green plug. Pull it out and you will see an 'arrow' that points to a notch in the flywheel. Thats your top dead center for #1 cyl.
Pocket screwdrivers are your friend when putting the tbelt back on.

i think you need to look at the pic again it does have both a belt and a chain. belt gets turned by crank, then it turns the cam which turns the chain to turn the other cam. alot of cars have those now a days
