the police do not keep anyone in check. look around you. the police are impodent, the only things they are good at keeping in check are law abiding citizens, because we don't fight back or run away.
its impossible in a free society to control what people do through government, especially the federal government.
how can you possibly believe everyone would be dead if there were no police? how did people survive before police? why was crime so so sooo much lower before police and before people had their right to self defense taken away?
once again, before there were police everywhere... HOW DID PEOPLE SURVIVE

btw, where i grew up, we walked around with high powered rifles everyday in the summer, we brought our rifles to school and went hunting afterwards.
you are stuck in the city... slicker... there is a world outside your shithole concrete jungle. a world were normal people live...
i was 9 years old walking around with a 30-06. no one died and the police were not to be seen, except the sherrif who was about 70 years old and would tip his hat as he drove past.

Yeah, people survived, but how many died?? How many people were murdered, raped, robbed, etc...etc??
So you want to live in a world where people can run into your house and blast the place up and do what they want at any given time without fear of breaking the law?? Are you serious? How is that better than having police?
Explain to me why you don't live in a 3rd world country if it's such a great life to live? Why not move to some shithole where kids carry AK47's and rocket launchers? It sucks here in America with our traffic laws and such, so move to where you can do what you want and kill people all day with no worry. Why not move there??

How well do you think your cowboy laws would work in L.A where the classrooms have more than 3 kids and 2 teahcers in the entire school? Once you get out of the hills and into the real world where people actually live you will find out there is a need for laws and rules.__________________

Why not move there?? i can't go around killing people with no worry, the worry is that someone will shoot me while i attempt to do this.
the real no worry is the impodent police actually catching me. the police cannot stop me from coming into your house and killing you, they can only punish me afterwards, but you are already dead. the only person that can stop me is you or perhaps one of your neighbors. a regular citizen...
the united states had very few law enforcement until recently... you see this and that in cowboy movies, but in reality its not like that at all... people were much safer in those days. you are much much more likely to get murdered today than you were in 1890.

despite all kalifornias anti gun laws, did they stop violence? no they didn't. the only way to stop it is to let people defend themselves, and the people commiting major crimes would be killed.

heres the bottom line.
those laws don't stop anyone. people drive drunk, people murder people, people rape people...
the only way to stop them is to defend yourself or someone else when these people attempt to commite these crimes.
if you rely on someone to protect you, you don't deserve to live in the united states.
