Correction *******. Roots blower+any engine=low and and midrange torque. Especially when it is a small displacement blower that is overdriven.

I think you meant bimmer which is a nickname for BMWs.

BMWs are nice if you can afford to buy them new. I am not aying I wouldn't drive or own one but I probably wouldn't be trying to mod one unless I was raking in the dough. If you do some nice mods to it then good for you and like stated above . "mad props"

I've turn down a lot of free bmw's because simply dont like them. but a lot of people loved them even though they dont last. I can get those for free-$300 thats how comman they are here, I have a lot of friends that worship them, but they are really nothing, even most Germans hate them, I've been in Germany for a long time, and see alot of them they ugly also, I love that new 6 series though I would get one of those, or the widebody 750i, but the 3 series and 5 series are just garbage.

I'll agree that the 3 and 5's are really common, I have had no problems or complaints with my mini which is built by bmw, before that i had a VW Golf gti with a turbo 1.8l both were alot nicer than most domestics and they just seems tro be built better! the interior is nicer, they just plain feel more solid than other cars that i've driven, over priced as hell, but for a daily driver/weekend warrior they're a lotta fun.

Wow, this forum is full of ******** now. I havent been on here in a few months since i was taking a break from teh honda, and when i finally get something, all people like to do is flame. And just becaseu i have some money to spend doesnt mean i dont belong here, look at some of the setups on here, not cheap. This site is about doing it yourself, not being a cheapass, and there is alot of usefull info here

My personal opinion, the only one that matters at this point, is i think the 3-series are hella sexy looking cars, and they may have problems, but there stupid easy to fix and prevent. I garauntee this car will not give me the problems my turbo rex had, that is until i start swapping ---- over, but its pretty straight foward. Oh, and the rex went for about 3500 after i sold all the parts it had that i stripped, which they are still for sale if anyone is interested.

I'm not a fan of Bmw's or any European cars. However the styling and performance of the Bmw 3 series are pretty decent, everytime I have gone to a open track day bmw's were always passing me

I just cant stand working on them
