My parents both grew up with nothing and now have something to be proud of. a house and the fact that they are legal citizens of this country. i am proud of what my parents have acheived and i dont think anyone else should be denied the oppurnutiy to come make something for themselves.

do you really think the "illegals" you see come here are applying for jobs like architects, or mortgage bankers? ---- no, they are here to fill any job thats available. Its not like they decided, hey! lets take all the jobs from the white man. They come here and mop our floors, cut your grass, pick up your trash, and other ---- jobs that the "white man" either has not time to do or would rather not be seen doing.

Oh and another thing...terrorists dont come through tijuana or any of the other borders. they come thorugh air planes with high tech ---- and make high tech badges and I.D's Mexicans and other immigrants dont even have enough money for shoe laces or toothpaste.

Julio I respectfully must disagree with you.

I am all for ppl coming to the US to start a life and eventually work towards becoming a citizen. A large protion of illegals are not. They are young males who come here to work tax free and send the money back to their families in their home country. That is not right to me. If someone wants to come to America to start a better life thats fine with me. Parts of my family did just that. Other parts were convicts involuntarily shipped off to America. Regardless, my family came here to make a new life not work here cause the money is better and collect welfare.

All of the jobs the white man won't do still get done in other places where the immigrant population is an insignificant fraction of the total. I worked landscaping in high school in Alabama and made enough money to buy a car and pay the bills. In Arizona that simply would not be possible.

It hurts the immigrants too. Working under the table means no worker's comp, no benefits, no chance of promotion. Your employer can arbitrarily fire you or make you do something dangerous. There is basically none of the protections provided by law to the employee. It creates things like sweatshops and debt-peonage.

The Minutemen guys are completely within their rights as citizens. It is perfectly legal to make a citizens arrest. The federal government is either unwilling or unable to enforce it's own laws. Those who suffer from those being broken(US taxpayers) are enforcing said laws.

BTW I don't see this as a White vs Mexican thing. It's a Citizen vs Non-Citizen issue.

About the terrorist thing. Al-Queada and Ansar-Al'Islam terrorist training manuals specifically mention using the US/Mexico border to enter because of the physical similarities between Middle Eastern and Latin genotypes. It is ridiculously easy to sneak across the border if you're willing to do some walking, carry water, and a good map. What will your opinion be if the Minutemen guys catch someone sneaking some Ebola or Smallpox across?

I am happy seeing people take a proactive solution to their problems instead of just doin nothing and crying about it.

MEcha is too hardcore for me steve. I dont think they would allow me to participate in their organization.

I do however listen to AM radio and those Jonh and Kenn fools are really something else.

I spent 4 years on top of an airplane or toting a rifle wearing a flak vest and kevlar in 130 degree weather for 11-14 hours a day. For the first year and a half I was making less than 30 dollars a day if you counted up how many hours I worked. I know I work extremely hard for my money. I've roofed houses, landscaped, farmed, split wood, and worked in a steel mill prior to taking up soldiering. I am a blue-collar ------- hero.

I dont have a problem with ppl coming to this country with the goal of becoming an American. They better be prepared to pay taxes and learn english. I don't want anyone coming here to mooch off the system while Uncle Sam takes his 28% from me every single day.

Well what pisses me off is that my wife has trouble finding work because she isn't fluent in spanish. She's a legal secretary(or was anyway) and the City of Phoenix and most law firms in Phoenix require bilingual secretaries. Thats why when she finishes her degree we're not staying Arizona. I'm moving her back to Alabama where being bilingual is not a job requirment. BTW her favorite radio show is some preacher that sounds like Cheech Marin. It totally freaks me out listening to him.
