Petition for securing our borders.

Re: Petition for securing our borders.
this is ------- bullshit. My parents both came here illegally and neither of them stood on a corner to look for work. They didnt even commit any crimes. My dad came here for the same reason everyone else, black, brown, yellow whatever comes here for ..it was for the chance for a better life. My parents both grew up with nothing and now have something to be proud of. a house and the fact that they are legal citizens of this country. i am proud of what my parents have acheived and i dont think anyone else should be denied the oppurnutiy to come make something for themselves.
do you really think the "illegals" you see come here are applying for jobs like architects, or mortgage bankers? ---- no, they are here to fill any job thats available. Its not like they decided, hey! lets take all the jobs from the white man. They come here and mop our floors, cut your grass, pick up your trash, and other ---- jobs that the "white man" either has not time to do or would rather not be seen doing.
Oh and another thing...terrorists dont come through tijuana or any of the other borders. they come thorugh air planes with high tech ---- and make high tech badges and I.D's Mexicans and other immigrants dont even have enough money for shoe laces or toothpaste.

Julio, think bigger.
All of the 9/11 terrorists came through Canada. There are reports that terrorists are in Mexico and actually take mexican surnames to appear to be "coming here for a job". It's not just Mexican's this is dealing with, it's dealing with the easy access that anyone in the world (including terrorists) have to getting in the country.
No, the mexicans that are coming here arent' coming to be lawyers or doctors, but that's not the point. We have a system set up to become a citizen. People don't respect that. Then all of a sudden you see they want the same "rights" as the legal citizens (EX: drivers licenses, voting privlidges (which comes with the drivers license)) and lots more.
Take into account that yes, we get cheaper laborors, but on the other side of the ball you pay more for them to be here. Healthcare (having babies without insurance), schooling (which is law that all children must go), Traffic conjestion (these people still drive to work with everyone else), and many other things. Also think about after an illegal has a child, yes they are a citizen, but that citizens healthcare, schooling, and social services is also directly related to illegal immigration.
Society is set up so that a given amount of workers pay their taxes and all of these services are in place for that amount of working people. Illegals for the most part don't pay any taxes because they work under the table, they have lots of children, who go to our schools, and who need healthcare, who need roads to drive them to school, ect......
With an off balance of taxe payers vs. people who get the services, you'll see exactly what California has become, one of the highest taxed places on earth.
Of course people want to come to this great country, but you have to do it legally. The balance is very off in California and you can see the results in that.
These are just some of the economical problems with open boarders. Then you have the terrorist deal. This day in age, you just can't have unknown people walking into your country.

Re: Petition for securing our borders.
And on top of it you used to have a handful of guys wanting to do a job (construction for example) that would have payed say $10 an hour.
When you now have 100 guys on the corner willing to do any work that you have, you now have people willing to work for $3 an hour. This is good for the guy that doesn't want to do that work, but all these people are really doing is driving down the income of labor intensive jobs. Then you have working poor people. And if they aren't working to be poor, there's 100 other guys that are willing to.
Who's really benefiting here? And what future does 100 workers for every 1 job promise for the next generation? Maybe that they'll work their asses off to be poor too.
