I know last time I checked, it's easier for a Canuck to get into the states than a US citizen to get back across the border.

It's an open border last I was across it. Twenty years ago? No passport needed, but they do stop you and ask questions sometimes.

When they ask your future ex-gf if she has anything to declare, the all-around best answer she can give is to ask what they mean.

No they have changed all that you need a passport dude. Im about 99% positive of it. I just had to go get one for mexico and Im pretty sure the chick at the post office said basicly outside the 50 states you need it.

I'm pretty sure they changed it back now for Mexico and Canada on how it was before. I could be wrong though but I'm pretty certain.

You don't need a passport if you are driving to the states but if you are flying you need one.

They will require one I believe by Jan 2008 or 2009.

I was just in New York last weekend, she'll need a passport or drivers license with a birth certificate.
