Opinons needed
so this dude at work has a 3rd gen prelude with a h22. selling it for $3k. think i should get it? i would need a loan though. as of now i am driving my dads old car which he used as bait to get me to move. he said that i could drive the 2001 Solara until i find another car, sell it, and get the other car. i bring it up to him today, "NO, its gonna break or you're gonna break it, what you have is an excellent transportaion car to school and work, and the prelude is a piece of ----" mind you he hasnt seen it. car is mint. exterior mint, interior mint. i work with the guy that put in the motor. i dont know the miles or anything because i just found out about it today. i dont even want it as a project really, i just dislike the Solara a lot. its slow, its heavy, but it gets good gas mileage. and i love ludes til no end.
i understand his arguement, but i only asked because this was what was supposed to happen. the solara is a good car. works great, no problems. its just not for me.
what do ya'll think? and i know i need to find out more info, but for $1500 the title is mine, and the other $1500 the car is mine. i come to HMT because ya'll have some good opinions, well, most of the time.

oh, the solara has 115k miles and is out of warrenty. i just dont like it that much.
plus i need a loan anyway because i NEED to move out in a couple months (21yr old living with a 70yr old and a 64 yr old), so i figure if i can get a bigger loan i'd be all good. i dont really know ---- about loans so i figure i'd ask.

I had one of those back in highschool, and it was a piece of ----; it would turn on a dime tho. The old school B20's that are in the si models suck to be honest. and I wouldn't even think about buying the s model, which is a sohc carb motor. I think I have a pic of mine somewhere, it was clean on the outside, but slow as *****.

Take what you can get you ungreatful bastard. :P I'm assuming you're under the age of 18 and your dad is giving you this nice reliable car to get your broke *** around in so I would be happy you even have a car. My first car was older than me and ran/looked like complete ---- so I have no pitty for you.
