opinoins: taurus sho...

Re: opinoins: taurus sho...
great fun, and if there was a way to swap that little v8 in to the 89-95 body with a 5speed it would be awsome
then boost it to arround 12psi and run 11's on street tires all day without breaking a sweat
also i had an olds aurora (4.0L doch v8 rated at 240hp and 260ft-lbs) man those things are quick for being a big heavy family sedan (tho it was auto it had a manual shift gait that made it a little more fun) and those auroras sound sick with pipes http://youtube.com/watch?v=UvmCoYHh1tU

the one in the "fast" SHOs are v6s
and its DOHC DUAL OVERHEAD CAM. NOT DOCH YOU DUMBFUCK.
the v8 in the late model SHO is transversely mounted, as well as the v6 in the older ones

also as for being small, yes compared to most american v8's the one in the sho was small only 3.4L
also people keep saying there were 2 generations one from 89-95 the the 96+ (the 88-95 was the 3.0L v6, when stick and 3.2L when auto and the 96+being 3.4L v
but 89 was not the first year of the sho it was actually the 3rd model year and there were 3 generations of sho's not 2
1st gen-1989-1991 3.0L yamaha engine with a 5speed as the only tranny
2nd gen-1992-1995 with a 3.0l yamaha engine with the 5 speed and 3.2L yamaha engine with the auto (both had 220hp as before but the 3.2 had 215ft-lbs over the 3.0's 200ft-lbs)
3rd gen-1996-1999 with a 3.4L ford v8 (from what i understand it is an engine that had been used in the larger family sedans overseas instead of the 5.0L v it was rated at 235hp and 230ft-lbs and was automatic only
also all the sho's came with dohc engines with 4 valves per cyc
the v6's had a 7000rpm rev limiter whereas the 3.4l v8 had a 6500rpm rev limiter (tho the auto tranny shifted at 6200rpm in fully auto mode)
all of the sho engines were verry detuned (i have seen 3.0L yamaha sho engines running up to 8000rpm on stock internals and with just cams and thinner head gaskets to raise compression i have seen 350crank hp and it was not overly radical to where it could not be street driven nor a hand grenade)
and random strike, chill the ---- out go get some ----- or somthing

also putting doch is just like typing teh instead of the it's just quickly typing and not caring about spelling it's not like i don't know what dual overhead cam engines are

Johnny's just cornfuzed 'cause of your relatively noob status, and the fact that you might know as much about cars as he does(if not more). This cornfuzion automatically triggers Johnny natural instinct of assholism and faggotry.
