I used to be a Green Bay fan (family of cheeseheads)

Then Favre started getting old.

Then he (finally) decided to resign.

Unless they get another great QB, don't see them going to anymore super bowls.

Im a falcons fan, and I was on the shitty end of the mike vick stick, so how is this "making calls to the vikings" from a green bay packers issued cell phone going to to turn out?

What's this about Favre on other teams?

he's been talking about retiring forever now, and it would be blasphemous for him to go to another team.

Mike Vick was a dumbass and earned his punishment. What kind of idiot with millions of dollars does such an illegal thing? After he's done suffering from -----implosion in jail, he's gonna get slapped with even more punishment. Well-publicized animal cruelty, gambling, and tax evasion...yeah.

I agree...I think he should stay out of the game. Not many players spend their ENTIRE career on one team anymore. It's all about the $$$ for most of them these days, they really don't have much respect for the team they play for or the fans of that team. Favre was an OUTSTANDING FOOTBALL PLAYER, I would hate to see him go to another team just to ---- up his last year(or few years). He should just chill out, and pop some percacets.

Ehhhh, I agree that he's definitely the captain of the failboat, but I'd be willing to bet he's back in professional football within' the next five years. And of course he'll be in excellent shape, you know that ****** is pumping some serious iron in the pen. Vick is an awesome player when it comes to physical skill and ability, BUT he has some serious shortcomings when it comes to the mental aspects of the game...both on and off the field.

I'm not arguing his skill, he's definitely talented. He just made some very stupid mistakes. If he DOES get back into the game (I wouldn't be surprised either way it goes), I seriously doubt he will ever get the amount of deals he's had in the past. Gatorade doesn't want a athlete everyone knows has electrocuted/shot/drowned animals.

As much as I despise the "sport" of dogfighting, I don't think anyone should lose their career for making a mistake. But when you work in the public like that, you have to do what's "right" whether you like it or not.

Man, we should've kept him back then. He really wasn't given very much time to develop. Some players come into the league and set things on fire immediately, but that doesn't happen very often...ESPECIALLY when it comes to QB's. The pro game is ALOT more technical and complicated than the college game. I imagine it would take a little getting used to. Atlanta would have won a super bowl by now if they had kept him around.

i think rookie qb's need atleast 1-2 years on the bench to study. if you look at most of the qb's who start right away(ryan leaf, joey harrington) (as rookies) and compare them to the qb's who sat on the bench for a year or two(tom brady, tony homo)......the qb's that had time to develop have done much better.

and Atl almost won a super bowl w/out favre (well i remember they made it to the s.b. but i dont remember if they got blown out or not...... but i do remember that eugene robinson the falcons safety fot busted the night before the game, for picking up a hooker :1)
