nononono, now im curious. do you just do aftermarket? and does studding really keep the headgaskets in place that much better? my theory has always been that the headbolt goes through a (cast iron) cylinder head and an (aluminum) rocker carrier and the expansion and contraction rates are different thus causing eventual headgasket failure. I do have to admit that the EGR delete is a very intelligent mod since we see EGR coolers blow all the time along with EGR valve problems.
and what about the turbo? just using the stocker or something else? Wastegated, VGT? Ive never really looked into the aftermarket for this ---- before soo...enlighten me please

I work at a "independent" shop, we do just about anything. One problem with "chiped up" diesels is the egr system was never designed to run the super hot exhaust gasses through it that you get when running that much fuel from the chips. I can make 1600 degree exhaust temp without braking a sweet. That melts egr coolers and boils coolant in them which also takes out head gaskets. The studs do help alot, the factory ford bolts stretch when you run too much combustion pressures, I dont really think the aluminuim and steel is a problem but who really knows. Stock turbo for now, My set up right now should be 430hp and 800ftlbs at 35psi (rear wheels) Not crazy but works dam good. Next step is a upgradded turbo and injectors, new tune and 500+ hp.

are you guys dicking with the 6.4l yet as far as chips and such? the egr system on those is downright impressive. itll drop exhaust temps 1000+ degrees.
where do you find aftermarket turbos for the 6.0, and are they still VGT? and upgraded injectors? . those ******* are $300+ each for factory ones...thats just a pile of money
but i suppose at 500 hp youll be over 1000ft/lbs. and thats ------- sick.
