Those old Celica's the rwd one's are pretty cool and i think they would make a good project car just get one that is already fuel injected to make things easier in the future. The 22RE is probably not the greatest engine for a street car as they are plenty srong etc but they dont make a ton of hp.Maybe though with a little headwork, camshaft regrind and a fat turbo it would work pretty good.Buy the black one there the 85 it looks pretty clean. You can always swap to a different engine such as a six out of a Supra etc you have a fairly flexible chassis to work with when it comes to swaps.

i got a 84 toyota celica supra ill sell you for 750. it has 160,000 miles 5spd, non turbo, good running 2.8 straight six, needs clutch replaced but can still drive, passenger door does not open and a little troulbe with windows going up and down. slight dent on front right fender. 3inch exhaust. better shape then the red one but paint is fading. if you were going to do a engine swap im sure you could get some money from the motor and trans

Yes and no. Places like ATS racing or Toyota Tom's can reprogram your ECU, but that costs about 750 bucks, and the program to do it costs a few thousand. Toyota ecus use hexidecimal code, but nobody has taken the time to crack it and reprogram them as you can with the Honda ECU. I wish somebody could write a program so we could "chip" our toyota ECU's, but I doubt it will ever happen.
