Default ok so trading parts for a rebuild plus springs

my buddy which is experienced at reubuilding honda engines will do it for parts. im trading a jkmotorsports traction bar and kyb agx adjustable dampers for him to rebuild my d15b7 completely. plus hes giving me some tenzo r lowering springs to replace the shitty coilovers that came with my civic.

to recap: im giving my buddy 550 in parts to rebuild my d15, plus im getting some 1XX$ springs

am i getting the ---- end of the deal here? i really didnt want to spend money to rebuild the engine so i figured this was a good alternative

Why does it need a rebuild? Any junkyard honda motor with <150k miles I would consider new Now if it was a different motor and he was building it for boost with parts you gave him, then I could see this deal making more sense

a chilton will cost you $40 and will walk you threw it every step of the way

$550 for a rebuild is a rip off. $200 tops

so if you dont want the d16 at the bone yard, go get a d15 from the bone yard. my point wasnt about getting THAT engine it was why rebuild what you can buy for cheaper. :1
