Default ------- oil pump

I blew my oil pump or something yesterday. I was getting the car ready for inspection, when I the intake cam jump timing 180deg. the timing belt was on tight, so I dont understand why it did.
then I took the car for a spin, and noticed I werent boosting so I took it to 7800rpm to make sure that the turbo is just laggy and may need some motivation, but did not get nothing but spool up sound and a 0 vac on the boost gauge (thank god for that.) havent figured where the leak is yet.
so then I took my eyes off the boost gauge and look at the oil pressure gauge, and it was at 25psi, so I press the gas to see if it would raise it stays the same, then I took the car home let it idle and it was idling at 5 psi. I have too oil pressure gauges, one electrical for the engine, and a mechanical for the turbo, and they both read the same,even when I turned the needle valve up on the mechanical one. hope I did not mess up my motor by driving it on 25psi of oil pressure.
I should have listen to my freind when he told me not to use the lightweight crank pulley, now I am out $150 for a new oil pump, and searching for a oem pulley. hope thats all that needs to be replaced.

Ouch.As long as you had some oil pressure and didnt go to far on it hopefully there is no damage.What pulley were you using?

should be ok if you didnt rev it up many times and get the oil real hot.

generally rule of thumb is 8psi of oil pressure per 1000rpm

so i your case 25psi, 3,125rpm

like i said it should maybe probably ok as long as the oil wasnt super hot or something, even better if you had something like prolong in it.

8000rpm = need ~64psi oil pressure

lighter is not good. I just found that out. or is it because it was aluminum with no balancers

Some people say the CTR one is no good as it does not have a rubber isolator thing in it to cancel harmonics.Pretty debated subject and I have one sitting here for my LS/Vtec build that I am debating using.
