Insurance covers the car not the driver. Unless you are specifically named as exempt from your dads insurance you are fine and concidered insured.
That is why they ask for all drivers in your house when you get insurance. That way they will be specifically named and either added or exempt.

same thing happened to me 3 months ago.. some old dude hit my backed into my rear bumper, cracked the ******.. brought it to a shop.. new bumper/paint/installed everything 650 out the door.(of course i just put the money in my pocket) granted its no lexus.. but come on 2 grand?
the guy who backed into me had like an 96 accord.. said the quoted him at 750... there was like no damage what so ever to his car though... maybe a little bonda and buff..
the dude just probly took the car to someones shop he knows.. asked them to charge for a new bumper and all.. still 2 g's is alot regardless

So say a new bumper from the factory, 800-1k, painting/color matching/labor 600, labor putting it on = 400-600. Its the labor that is going to cost.

talking about replacing the bumper and all kinds of non sense. i told him off. i recorded parts of the coversation, some parts make him sound bad.

Did you or him already get the police involed?
Here in Ohio we have a law that says you have 48 hours (or something like that..It's at most 3 days) to report an accident and after that if you don't, they can't or won't do ----. Basically if that's how it is there and there was no report made if he tries to make a claim to your insurance,they will deny him and tell him to go to his insurance,because they basically have no proof of what happend or where it happend,where as if he would have called the police at the scene or went to report it afterwards you would have gotten a ticket since you rearended him and had no way to say it wasn't your fault.Just call any police station and ask how long you have,dont go into any specifics with them.

doesn't matter who lives in my house, also my insurance never asked who lived in my house.

chances are he will take it to the police and say see see he hit me and meh depends on the cops reaction..
i had someone cut across 3 lanes and brake infront of me and i lightly tapped his front bumper with NO ------- DAMAGE... not even a scratch.. he pulled over i did too.. got down said no damage.. cool? he said...

i just about tripped ***** there.. from between laughing my **** off and being pissed im like.. let me guess no job?? i gavehim my driver liscence and ---- he asked for my insurance im like i think ill pass.. he gave me his ---- and i threw it on the floor.. funny as ----.. he wrote down my info and i did a nice burn out in his ------- face and got the ---- outta there
1 week later in the mail some ------- pig wroteme a ticket for no insurance no regestration reckless driving ------- faggotyy *** pigs.. and he wrote that there wass property damage.. man this is why i hate pigs.. but i had the pictures but no time to deal with it.. went to my lawyer dropped em 250 bucks and told em to dealwith it.. lol

man i remmeber california they loved doing that ---- mexicans fully loaded into a small *** car stomping on the brakes infront of a semi not giving a ---- how many of them ------- died as long as they got the pay out for the insurance.. there was even a movie done about that ----..
