well the d16a1=brown top jdm zc except zc camshafts are bigger. For the 84-87 crx/civic bolt in crowd
2nd gen zc=improved intake manifold, bigger camshafts. Still bastard throttle body bolt pattern. The motor that changed my life and import racing. dual cam swaps for under 500 bucks rule. Well not so much anymore zc's are pricey now very sad. 124-130 hp rating depending on who you talk too. Butt dyno says they are 130
3rd gen zc=improved intake manifold again bigger camshafts. Newer b series bolt pattern, perfect for PBTUning throtle body.Butt dyno says 3rd gen zc owns other gens. Rated at 137. With some basic work there a fun little motor. Oh and no more retarded cam angle sensor on exhaust cam. These were the motors I would pray the importer would have when I would head down to it back in my younger years. First 12 sec car I helped build was with this motor. With zc/si gearing in 4th gen civic low 14 sec allmotor. zc gears/si fd is the key.
