Re:OBX's new manifold..
I think 350+whp in a honda is stupid... What kinda tires/tranny/gas/lag are you going to get to put 350whp to the ground ??
I'll stick with a cheap *** 200-300hp D-series, and if I want 300+, I'll HMT a fox body mustang....
Or I could just buy some used 14Bs ( instead of waiting on the ones I ordered ), and make 500hp on my "little V6" stealth ( and cross my finger that the TC/tranny doesn't get tired of 1.5 60ft times on street tires )...
Basiclly a high high hp honda just doesn't add up to me... Its even more a FWD issue than anything; I'm perfectly fine with the idea of a 450whp SR20/240sx or AWD DSM....
Just IMO... My freind at work is talking about selling his house, 12K mile GTi, and moving back in with his parents to buy a $85K benz E-55, but I think that's just insane ( he has a rich uncle that would finance a dumb *** idea like that too ).. The benz is bad, but only $5K bad in 30years when the house will be paid off and worth $200K ( furture money )..
BTW Whinty, the "E-55 freind" of mine had a SHO before his GTi and it broke so much that the aftermarket warrenty company paid out $12K dollars to keep fixing a car that he paid $7 for !!! He misses his SHO and its the car that got him into "saloon" cars ( of course I showed him yours !! )
350whp in a 2000lbs FWD car is just about useless on the street without out $10000000000 in traction mods and 15K mile drag radials...
I still like 350whp+ hondas. as long as they have this:
