holy ----.. they all but stopped selling the "first generation" piece of ------- ---- manifold... Usually when i type "b16 turbo manifold" into ebay's search, i get 450 different SSautochrome, now i get about 6.. a couple "revhard" manifolds, some assclown selling an HF as a "b seires turbo manifold" and these new OBX manifolds.

I'd buy one, they look ------- bad *** :O

thats funny how everyone's realizing how d-series motors are worthless.
yeah d series motors are really shitty..i know somebody that has a 450hp d16y8 that will hopefully be making 500hp soon.

If he put that money into a B-series he would be making over 500. I have a D-series myself, I thought about building it but its just not worth it compared to what a b-series can do

yeah this is true, but a d series swap costs less than a b series so it almost evens out. and plus its cooler to have a 500hp d series rather then a 600hp b series :P

preach it bro.
I think people are praising D-series because they have no other choices. I don't think there are that many people that would choose a D over a B if both were being offered.

I'm only building a B series so I can talk ---- about them with experience. (that's what I tell everyone)

I will never give up on the true Home made motor choice.

I keep changing my mind every day on what a d-series motor is worth. I have a shortblock that I was thinking about building but I just don't think its worth it. It seems like a lot of money and your not even going that fast. I've been ------- around with this d-series for a while and think about back in the days of my GSR where I built a turbo kit and was running 12's out of the box on street tires. We even just did my buddy's LS who just did a 12.7 street tires, and stock everything. When LS swaps are only $500 its hard to justify putting $1000 into a D-series just to keep up. In the end, depending on how fast you want to go, the B-series is actually cheaper.

B's have just more potential.
And you can rev it to 8K+ rpms if you have a vtec head....and vtec oil-pump (that's for the LS/VTEC).
I also was thinking about building a D, but the money spend on it and ... is it really worth it??
I have like 3 blocks in my shed an A6 and 2 ZC's...I'll just have fun with them and boost them stock and build a LS/VTEC on the side
