OBX copying Forced Performance turbos now? WTF?
I happened to come across this cruising around ebay yesterday...OBX has copied the Forced Performance Green turbos for Evo's and WRX's...

How the hell did they pull that one off? I haven't even seen any regular ching chong copies of those models yet, so it makes me wonder how they were able to copy them since OBX is also chinese crap? I'm also kind of surprised FP hasn't tried suing them either. Kind of shitty though, it's a shame they're chinese copies...if they were half way decent I'd give the Evo one a shot since it's around $1000 cheaper than FP's. Basically FP takes the stock turbo's and stick a 50 trim wheel setup in it, so it baffles me even more how OBX could even do the R&D required to make these.

The Evo Green I believe has a rating of 47lb/min right now, and the newest Evo Red has around a 57lb/min rating. These setups also keep the stock spool up characteristics, that's why alot of Evo and suby owners with money to burn buy these from FP. Price tag's usually around $1789 for the real deal ones that just bolt on. I sent OBX an email to see if I can test one and see if it really is as "good" as they claim. What's the worst that could happen...puking oil or wheels flying off? No sweat, just as long as it's not my money.
