I am putting together a turbo kit as we speak, trying to do it cheap, it's the only way I can justify doing it. Still need all of the big things, all I have right now is a greddy manifold/elblow/downpipe (t25 flange), dsm 450 injectors, greddy boost gauge, 1st gen dsm bov, and a frog harness for obd2b-obd1. Plan on painting whatever fmic I get flat black, try and keep it stealth. I have a pipe bender that can accomodate up to 3" pipe, so I will be doing all of my own fab work for that. I am still learning about all of this turbo stuff, and have already learned a lot from this site.

Nah, I was hoping it would look okay, ran it like that for about a week, and didn't like it. So now I just run with no front plate at all.

Thanks, I am going to start small being this will be my first turbo set up and my daily driver. Ported 14b and hoping for 230 at the wheels. I have an '89 hatch I am going to go ***** to the wall with. It's stock right now, but I picked it up for $300, and almost no rust on it, figured I couldn't go wrong. I am dropping in a stock rebuilt z6 in a few weeks, and we'll see what happens. I'll try to get some more pics of both up soon.
