90dx has a point single cams are less expensive than the dual cams unless you can find a good price for one and hope that its in good condition.

Well I sold the hydro tranny for $650.... ....so the engine with everything else cost me only $250.....

Dude I can't believe you have not learned anything from this site in so much time.........Of course you can boost an Si, d16a6, you can boost anything evena damn lawnmower...........

----.........look at the projects and learn........I would keep that engine and boost it. If you are boosting it, there's not such a bid difference in getting a Vtec head.....I wouldn't for your first setup....just boost that one like it is.

Do some preventive maintance, check engine compression, and go for it. If you blow it, you still have that other hatch/engine to play with.

i took some parts off the old shithatch and selling it for 400 without exhaust system and 500 with it. Runs good but low idle sometimes becasue the iavc valve has to be cleaned. But yea im most likely gonna boost my civic
