No Boost... wtf? help
Setup:
Hf mani - weir adapter - 14b
fmu/missing link (shut up, got them for free and it's only temporary :P)
some random *** piping
temporary non-intercooled (smic is on the car, just dont have the right piping to go to it)
sandwich adapter for oil feed
Everything is on right. There are no oil or water leaks. I've checked and rechecked all my piping, even though the connection from the piping to the j-pipe is extremely ghetto and could possibly be leaking (doesn't look like it though). I'm not using any gakset in between the hf mani and the adapter plate. I've checked all hoses and there doesn't seem to be any leaks (boost gauge reads 19psi vacuum).
However, there is absolutely NO BOOST. When I step on it, boost gauge just goes to 0. As far as I know, the turbo is in good condition. It has about 60-70k according to previous owner, and was boosting perfect for him when he was running it.
Also, how can I be 100% sure oil is getting through the turbo? The lines are on properly, but I just want to know if the sandwich adapter is doing it's job..
Any suggestions on what to check/recheck? I'm kinda stumped here...

first off wrong forum
second if you have NO LEAKS and you dont build boost then the turbo is siezed or the wastegate is open.
third pull the line off the turbo and start the car, if oil sprays all over your good to go.

sorry for the wrong forum.. admins feel free to move this.
wastegate is not open.. hoping the turbo isn't siezed........ but since it worked fine for the guy before me i dont see why it would be...

Holy ---- it's good to hear you're FINALLY getting your turbo setup going.
Are you using the stock actuator? How do you know the wastegate isn't open? Take it off and just put a spring on there to test it.
Did you try to spin the turbo by hand? That's just like an instinct thing that most people do first when they get their hands on a turbo.

Yeah, I finally got around to piecing together a kit.. Still haven't seen anything from Nathan
Anyways, it spins with my hand, but not at idle. If I give it slight throttle it does spin.
Yes, using the stock actuator. Pretty sure its not stuck open because before the install it was closed. I never pulled on the wg arm to test if it sprung open. Haha and yes, first thing when i got it was check for shaft play.
I'll go out right now and tug on the wg arm a few times
