you guys really need to learn your history......ill help
1. french explorers came to "america", claimed everything east of the mississippi river till the rocky mountains....they stole it from the redbacks
2. napolean was dick deep in debt from conquering europe, asked thomas jefferson to buy the STATE of louisiana for 10 mill dollars.
3. Thomas Jefferson countered with 15 mill for the whole territory.
4. the brokeback bros. louis and clark explored it....
