I saw one of those the other day and couldn't figure out WTF it is. I think it's ugly.

I think you parked alittle close to the curb. :P That looks badass though. How much did that ****** run? What do they have in them? I'm pretty out of the loop after cancelling my satellite. So this is the first time seeing one of these.

Toy's marketing line on this is it is supposed to be a throwback to a tried and true meant to be used 4WD trail ride, targeting enthusiasts. Given the average OMG SUV owner who never drives through a mud puddle, and referring to my previous comment about what a joke the FJ series has been for a decade or so, I'm wondering what their actual target audience for this is... and how close to the mark they've hit.
FYI, I have a friend with a ton of FJ60's... he has an '88 with 32K original miles, that a tree fell on the roof of. The rich ***** that owned it thought it was "ruined" and sold it for $500. My friend, Mark, sawzalled off the top and installed a cage, runs it around during the summer with a bikini across the windscreen + main hoop to keep off most of the sun. It's otherwise completely stock, and still a beast for light to medium duty rock crawling al Tellico, and all around fun mudding up on Spivey.
I spent my misspent HS days riding in the back of Subaru Brats, drinking bourbon, and getting out to push when we got stuck in mud up on Spivey. *sigh*
