Thats not usually true, I work in a hospital with alot of elderly people, and it seems like if you ask them about thier tattoos they show them off like they just got them. And i'm talking about people in thier 70's-90's.

Not everyone here has a belly tattoo in old english script claiming "homosexual" or whatever it is yours says. :P

I had a friend who had "*******" on his stomache in old english script, said it was his father's surname or something. He ended up snorting a lot of meth and being unpleasant to be around. Goes to show how defective he was.

My tat is rather original - and unlike the 2 people that came to the shop after me asking for the same after seeing mine - I actually knew what it meant to wear the mask.

"Oni are devil-like demons with long nails, wild hair, a fierce look and two horns on their forehead like the devil images known in Western Christian cultures. They wear tiger skins and can fly. Oni hunt for the souls of those who did evil things in their lives. In a nutshell, a guy one would not like to encounter in the darkness."

You also neglect the fact that the verse in question was directed at the Jews by God, because the pagans in the area scarred and tattooed their bodies for the dead (trying to be possessed or something along those lines) and to try to 'get in good' with their pagan gods. But of course this is always up to interpretation.

I think you shouldn't get a tattoo unless it has deep meaning to you... girls getting butterflies on ze lower back and guys getting the barbed wire around their arms is dumb imo...
