new speakers????
well ive been thinkin about getting at leat 1 set, because i only have 1 working one as it is, (but my 2 AR tweeters still work). i figured if i allready have tweeters in the front maybe i should get some mid-range/min-bass speakers to match up to them? anyone done this? i found these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...t+RVF+164.html and they're pretty cheap. what you think?

Go to any audio forum and for mid bass and pure clarity the best bang for your buck under 100$ is the phoenix gold pg rsd 6.5cs component system. Have had the set in my car and with some sound deadening and sealed up doors i have had many people ask me what size sub i had in my car. http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-PHOENIX-GOLD-6-5-240w-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS-RSD65CS_W0QQitemZ300262667609QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem300262667609&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2| 65%3A12|240%3A1308&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 honestly the best money i have ever spent on a car.

look into the memphis prs6 component set
they go for bout $100-120 and are damn good speakers also if the shop you get them from is a memphis dealer and installs them you get an added year on the warranty

inho mb quarts premium line before they were bought out by Maxxsonics were the best money could buy. They were as perfect sounding as compitition speakers costing way more. When they were bought out they stoped making them in germany and are now the same as all the other junk.

There is a very good reason why I won't let go of the set of Quarts I have or the semi vintage Xtant amp, or my old *** Kenwood KDC-X915.
Vintage, circa 95-2000 is the best IMO. There are some amplifiers that are even older that will still embarrass the "1000 watt" amps sold today.
The latest truly impressive amp I have seen come about within recent years is the JBL Crown series. Those ****** are bad ***.
