I read an article in motortrend that "slipped in" that the G35 is the new skyline... Kinda dumb for nissan to call it something new, instead of "Skyline".

They could have called it a "skyline" then in 2-3 years brought out the twin turbo "GT-R" edition.

Kinda stupid to say here's are "G35" then release a car that is almost exsactly the same, but call it a skyline GT-R..

Sad, GM and ford have the "marketing" down but can't make anything worth a crap, affordable, and reliable. While the Jap cars are great, but it seems like they always set themsleves up to fail on purpose !!! Like a toyota celica that makes 180hp for .0001 seconds, then you shift. A sentra spec-V that makes "good power", but for some reason is pretty slow. A honda civic that is heavier, pretty much uglier than its prevous model, and is much more limited in production ( speaking of Si of course ). Of course the Evo and Sti are really cheap, and with mistu going outta businuss and all, I bet they're just dying to see people that have a 3year old EVo with a broken ( anything )...

Mean while ford makes the SVT focus( its not that bad ), Dodge makes a damn good little SRT4 neon, and GM talks smack on every "car TV show" there is about how GMs are fixing to bust everyone up !!!

Noless, I'd want a Skyline/G35 GT-R reguardless of what its called !!! Even though its going to be sold here, doesn't mean I can afford one, hell I'd have a G35 2-door if I had $35K lying around... ( not an Evo or Sti ).

Well, I was too stupid to reallize where the G"35" got its name from...

I've loved the G35 since the first time I saw it... Before its was motortrends "car of the year" and before I found out it had a skyline chasis... I still love it... Doesn't look like a Skyline.... And as much as I love the G35, I think the "Skyline" shouldn't be what we know as the "G35".

Looks like the new Altima is as fast a skyline now, haha.. fug-ly *** altima is fast as hell, yet more of what I was speaking of with Jap cars "setting themselves up for faulure".

G35 6-speed 2-door = 14.3 ( Motortrend )
Altima 3.5L = 14.3 ( MT )
350Z 6-speed = 13.9-14.1 ( MT )
Mazda RX8 = 15.6, is best I saw at the track, hehe but MT tested one at 14.6 ( cough cough bullshit cough ), worst run was a 16.3... RX8 buyers

The ------- 350z IS faster than the sktline !!!?? Nissan screwed that up, huh...

Next GM is going to make a LS6 powered camaro for $25K and still try to sell the Z06 for nearly $60K...
