Alex in Houston just might have surpassed 89sipimpin as my favorite neegrow.

So I've never owned a gun before, and very few times shot one. I went to the gander mountain store and was looking at handguns. The guy said he thought I should start with this:

It's a smith and wesson 22. I was kinda surprised that he suggested it because one of my requirements was that I wanted to lay someone out with 3 or less shots. He said it was good for a beginner and that I would be able to make a path with it. Whatcha think?

I'm not sure what you mean by "USING" and "shooting people"? If you own a handgun for protection you should know how to use it and be damn good with it, otherwise it's no good. It's a fucked up world we live in these days. Have you ever been shot at? I live in a tiny town filled with mostly snowbirds and drunken Californians and I got shot at for the first time a little over a year ago. Shootings happen all the time out here. I have a CCW so I can legally conceal my gun(s) and protect myself if needed. What are you going to do when ---- hits the fan? Run and hide and hope you or your loved ones don't get killed?

Alex scares me. A black man with that many guns can't be a good idea.

3 shots from a .22 will NOT stop someone. Chances are they will die shortly after, but stopping them is what you want to do and from what I've learned, a .22 is the WORST form of protection you can have. You want STOPPING POWER. Most people who take a .22 to the body are still fully capable of running away or skull ------- your wife. Let me tag you with my .45 and see how long you can keep your *** up for.

This is just my "plinker" (gun I shoot for fun, target practice). Although, I do keep it in my car...just in case.
I don't have any pics handy for any of my others.

Accuracy on this sucker is frickin' amazing (that's the factory 25Meter target grouping laying by the gun)

Not even the damage one does but the energy it transfers upon impact knocks some people backwards, and if you don't hit them it will sure as hell scare them!
