New Clutch Slipping...

Re: New Clutch Slipping...
Even if you didnt resurface your flywheel, it should not be an issue. The only way it would be is if the actual flywheel was warped. After engaging a the 6 puck metallic material just a few times it creates its own "seat" in the flywheel and will usually hold just fine. Not sure if your on a hydro or cable clutch but many times people dont bleed their clutch line or dont bleed correctly after installing a clutch. Between that or possibly getting grease on some of the components, those are the two most likely cases if the clutch is actually slipping. If the clutch is slipping, it should slip in every gear when you get the rpms up, dont bother testing it in first or second because it can easily be confused with wheel spin. Good luck.

Get the stage 4PP with the sprung stage 3 disk. You REALLY should have resurfed the FW, but w/e I figured i got my moneys worth... I got the chrmo flywheel too...... Id buy anothedr one, but the stage four... The pp is signifigantly stiffer.
Check for ---- on your pp (oil, etc) could be it.

Re: New Clutch Slipping...
I have a 6 puck xtc, its a really good clutch for the money. I've been through two motors on this clutch and I have some dumb crap, but its still holds. I used to love to crip while driving, but without the turbo on it wasnt that easy. I had to raise the rpm stupid high and dump the clutch in second on a roll to get a nice chirp. Now the xtc flywheel I got was too light weight and it would always kill my AC when I came to a stop.. that sucked. Still I'd buy an xtc product again no question.
