Default New Clutch Slipping...

Ok, Ive finally passed my 500 mile break in period (alot of it today... crawling traffic from gatlinburg tn, back to asheville nc.. SUCKED!!) Im now over 600mi of stop-go driving.

I noticed after i installed it (last week) that it would slip very easily (while engaged) on cold mornings.
Anyway, I took it for a spin in the higher rpm's tonight... and the stupid thing is still slipping. (in gear, after already engaging)

Its only in 1st gear, and high 2nd... and when I punch it. The torque breaks it loose.
1st gear is useless, and 2nd i can sometimes keep it from slipping if i feather it right.

Anyway, My guess to the cause is a worn-out flywheel. (possibly polished smoothe). I did not get it resurfaced... (why? because im a dumbass!! and cheep)

I have also adjusted the clutch pedal as recommended.

Setup
est. 200hp sohc civic
New XTD Stage 3 clutch (and dont give me crap about it being XTD)
New Pressure Plate
New throw-out-bearing
New Pilot bearing
Clutchmaster lightweight flywheel (was not resurfaced)

i have a xtd on the 300zx and its holding up good, but i've heard stories about them completely sucking ***. so that could be it, and you don t need to break in a clutch. you coulda fucked it up attempting to break it in.

Go beat the crap out of the clutch, do a few 3k or so launches. Same thing happened to my friend, for some reason after he beat on it for a while it broke in and grabbed hard.

im worried it'll make the issue worse. Sounds fun tho.

I will give it a lil hell for the next week or so, till i can get in there and resurface the flywheel.

I have a XTD sprung 6 puck and I noticed it would slip like ripping it good from the top of 3rd going onto the highway. Everything before would grab really hard and I could chirp them going into 3rd a few times. Usually it's the opposite that a clutch usually gets worse once it starts slipping but now it feels alot better.

You said you adjusted the clutch, but really make sure that it's fully engaging (or disengaging you know what i mean, i'm fried right now) cause I once had a new clutch slip cause my pedal wouldn't come up all the way.

yea, i even removed the boot to the slave cylinder, and checked that the throw-out-bearing was free.
