new clutch and ex tranny in...damn!!!
dropped my car with a friend this am to cool down and help him install the clutch and tranny. left to go see my grandmother in the hospital and came back a couple hours later and he was just about done. my shifter stabilizer bushing is really worn and i get about an inch of slop in the shifter and it keeps it from going into gear well. second especially. hoping this is all that's the problem. i'll have some neuspeed bushings going in tomorrow if they arrive like they are supposed to.
anyone ever have this problem with the shifter bushings wearing and having trouble getting it into gear? i can drive it, but i have to really yank the shifter deep and hold it to get it into gear...mostly second and it's not totally in gear then.
the lighterweight flywheel is nice paired up with the ex tranny. revs quick and the revs don't drop as quick as i thought they were going to. can't wait until tomorrow and i've got the bushings in and really get to drive it.
