buick is all my family has owned (aside from me of course
) and i swear you cant kill them if you tried, if you want reliable and good gas mileage, get a honda and if you want quick, add a turbo, boost low and call it a day, i have yet to find another car that's gotten as good gas mileage as my hondas have and be as reliable.
my H22 EG hatch got 43 MPG on a trip from oregon to nebraska, 43MPG! add a light weight flywheel and six puck to one of those and theres your reliability, your gas mileage, and your decently fast car all in one package

TSX is a nice car, had one as a loaner while my integra was getting worked on. Decently quick for a heavy 4cyl car (aut too) and very comfortable. Get a TSX!

check out ebay for expensive cars. you can get year old 66k dollar lexuses for 20 grand. 
this girls mom i worked with bought her a range rover for 15 grand then she decided she didint like the car and sold it for 33k
