i would like to know if this is true. anyone else?

Sure.. its also biased opinion.. but if you look at any forums top dynos.. the top guys will be putting down like 500 ish... with that.. the ka people just shotpeen their rods, forged pistons, and cams.
The sr's that put down numbers like that are fully biult and cost more.

I got my motor for 415 shipped to cali from ohio... all I need is a wiring harness and ecu... so lets say 550 vs 3k. why downgrade for 2500 more?

Damn you guys look like your straigt off the set of that 70's show. Ain't nothing wrong with the **** look. Either way for 700 that 240 is clean as hell. I feel the same way with the KA vs SR ----. SR's are overhyped like a B16.

yes it is, I've read it everywhere, and heard it by a few big name shops.
It's just a lot of jdm hype, and people not willing to get dirty and installing their own turbo kit. They just buy an engine with everything on it. The ka24de is a truck engine, so it does make good torque.

on a side note, I like the car a lot, I want to pick one up, and no I've always like the 240's and I don't like drifting, and play with it a little.

Were making alot more on are sr20's than 500. Weve got a ka turbo too, its very impressive, but it was done right, and it WASNT cheap. Ka's do not flow as well as sr's, thus giving them more potential. TO get the same numbers from teh ka there's alot more work to be done.

But that supercharged suv is pretty nice.
