i had a 5 speed 95 neon beater for most of last year. i swear to ---- that thing had twice as much torque everywhere as any stock honda ive owned and i drove it like i hated it. id red line shift it chiping into 3rd everywhere and hit anything in my way and never slow down for large bumps, i did destroy a rear strut (shaft snapped) and i think it leaked oil everywhere including into the tranny onto the flywheel, sometimes it would just smoke while i was at a light.
out of the 2 ive owned i had to resolder everything on the cluster on both when i got them, so you never really know how much miles they have

the automatics 3 speed and make the car feel %50 slower, from what i read, the 95 sohc and a more agressive cam in it then other years but people complained it idled shitty so they toned it down 96+

---- they look stupid

2.4 swaps are cheap so are the 2.0 dohcs but the only way id waste my time swapping is to a stock srt4 engine... or the stock 100$ 2.4 and pop in 400$ of new srt4 internals... but all american cars are ------- ---- and i'd be an idiot to waste money like that. this ****** is going to remain a beater until I am satisfied that the bmw is ready for 100% reliable daily duty again.

I knew what you meant no need to get upset. I was just rambling... when you see a post of mine where I don't capitalize the first letter of a sentence, move on. Nothing of value will be gained from reading it.
