Default Need to stay awake

Ok, wednesday after work I'm going to drive home to PA from VA for thanksgiving. I don't get out of work until 5 on wednesday and by the time that I get home and shower and get ready to go it will be 6 pm. It's only a 8 hour trip, but I get up for work around 50-6:00 in the morning. I usually don't have too much trouble staying awake, but being in a car alone for 8 hours I'm sure that I'll be getting a little sleepy. Any suggestions as to how to stay awake, I'm not a big coffee fan (never drank it) I don't mind cappucino. Any idea's of what to take to stay awake ?

your honest best bet is riddelin or aderal, because you'll be wired but if you dont want to use prescription drugs the, drink lots of energy drink. don't smoke weed and have a full pack of smokes. i drive a delivery truck from like 2 am to 2 pm and go to bed at like 10 or 11 usually so i have mastered the art of staying awake with no drugs or coffee.....just SKILL

crystal meth should get the trick done...and if your not into that that...coffee, energy drinks, drive with the windows open when you start to get tired, loud music....and ---- do the twenty minute power nap if you do get tired

yea cafeen is you best bet. energy drink and i hate the power nap.
it works great but one day i was falling asleap at the wheel and i got home pulled the ebrake and fella sleep in the car with it running. like one minute later i woke up scarde as ---- cause i thought i ran off the road and was heading in to a house i woke up and turned the whele and realized i was home parked.

moral of the story turn your car off while power naping.
oh and go to sleep as soon as you get home the next day so you are rested. when i do that it screws with my time and i cant sleep till late the next day like 4am and ---- lol

seriously, just take 15 min power naps when you start to get sleepy, then youre good for hours. I would get up around 6am and go to work and when im coming home on friday (this was when i was in jersey) id leave around 4pm and start making the 6.5 hour drive back to buffalo, id usually take 1 15 min nap when i started getting sleepy around 6 or 7 then id be good until i got home. No drugs, no crashing, just small naps in the parking areas. Plus, keep the car slightly cooler than youd prefer, keeping the car nice and warm makes you sleepy really easy. Chewing gum helps too.
