ok so for the past week my computer wont save sites in my address bar. it also will not save my sign in screen names/passwords on any websites (hmt, youtube, email, myspace, ebay and so on)..
say i type in some websites in the address bar it will save them for just a few hours.. then after that when i click on the down arrow thingy on the address bar they will all be gone?

any ideas what might be causing this?

that sucks.....a friend got some kind of virus on their computer that changed the desktop image and deleted the option to change it back. also changed the wall paper to a blue screen of death the virus also delete the settings to change that too. i wish i had that much time and know how to make uswless viruses just to **** people off.

On internet exploder:

Tools > Internet Options > Content

Click AutoComplete button...
Make sure "web addresses" is checkmarked


Tools > Internet Options > Privacy

Security settings could be set too high


Tools > Internet Options > Security

Turn it back to default level


Still not working?

Click advanced tab and go to "Reset" (version 7+) or restore defaults (version 6 and below)


Any anti-spyware/internet security software that could be deleting those files?


If all else fails, do the right thing and download/install firefox.

Also, make sure you use like AVG or something that scans webpages before you go look at all that **** man....
