haha johnny man, you'll argue anything, who cares how quick a car breaks? , and the skyline engien can handle massive power, the stock internals have been pushed pash 1000hp and 1100tq, i havent seen a stock ls1 take that much power, and as far as the c6 z06 costing 65k, its more like 75k.

Re: need some help with my buddys skyline gtr r34
I never once said it was stupid fast or it was even that impressive. I think ive stated noumours times I would take alot of other cars over a skyline if I had the choice. and when I got here, lots of ******* ragged that I didnt get a turbo'd nissan. They do have a ---- load of potential though! If I had to put something next to the skyline. I would put the GTS skyline next to a v6 mustang/camaro. I would put the GTSt next to the 5.0/z28 I would put the GTR next to a cobra/SS and a Vspec next to a vette.
I have always stated they arent that impressive for what people have said they are. Hell, I shut a kid up REAL quick last weekend. "that pile of ---- honduh....." then I dam near passed him in my stock B16. He was running his rb20det, cams, t4, differnet manifold... and my stock civic could have gotten him. the video proves it. had it not been a corner there, i could have passed him.
DAng johnny....all I said was that pic was not a GTR. :P

Stock internals of a skyline busting 1000hp....prove it. stock internals. what changed? turbo, FM/IC? I find it very hard to believe.

maybe we are looking at different nismo skylines, its physically impossible for this skyline (which costs 170k) to run 10 flat

Re: need some help with my buddys skyline gtr r34
I googled "z06 corvette" and pulled this from the edmunds link that was returned
If you just bought a Ferrari F430, lock your doors, because they're about to be blown clean off. When the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 hits this fall, General Motors says it will be the quickest and fastest production car it has ever produced. Chevy says the 2006 Z06 will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in well under 4 seconds, run the quarter-mile in the mid-11-second range and top out at 190 mph. Not bad for around $75,000.
Powering the C6 Z06 is a hand-assembled, 7,000-rpm 7.0-liter — that's 427-cubic-inch — normally aspirated small-block V8 called the LS7. It's an all-aluminum engine filled with exotic engineering, such as titanium connecting rods and intake valves, sodium-filled exhaust valves, a dry-sump oiling system, a forged-steel crankshaft and computer-machined cylinder-head porting. Horsepower and torque are a mind-bending 505 and 470 lb-ft, and it's all routed to the Vette's massive 19-inch rear tires through a six-speed manual transaxle.

If numbers whispered by NISMO staff in the halls of the Tokyo Auto Salon are to be believed, the Z-tune ran 0-400 meters (a little shorter than a quarter mile) in 10.06 seconds during development.
