yeah it's pretty exspensive but i know only two people here in columbus that have one. One is an R34 and another one is an R33. Its just making it legal is the exspensive part since they aren't made in the us. But they can afford because there mommies and daddies are rich.

some dude was gathering all the information from DMV on how to make a Jap car legal here, that`s what you will need to do if you are tryign to get everything done by yourself:
1) you will need to paid and offer another car to be used on a crash test
2)paid for the crash test
3)paid for all the processing fees.
4)provide all the smog information from the factory
5)have the info process by the somg center or whatever the ---- it is called
6)somg your car
7)get physically inspected

by the time your car is legal you could have buy a house :P

motorex is closed. Go buy a junked 240, swap vin numbers from the 240 and then hide the 240 somewhere were no one will find it but it is still in your possession (storage garage). If you get pulled over "it's a 240sx with a skyline style conversion." If you get in an accident and its your fault the cops will further inspect the car and it will become theirs, if it is the other person's fault, convince the other person that it is no big deal and you don't want the cops involved and you will pay for your own damages yourself.

i say swap vins and register it as a salvaged 240.... use the vin from the 240 and the body of the skyline... if you get in a wreck no big deal, you built the car from two cars :-) and its claims it has parts fromt the skyline and 240... no big deal. Might even be legel also. i donno.

Good luck and dont put cheap gas in it ;-)

yeah just go buy a junked 240 at the wrecking yard and you wil get a title and vin tags, or wait i think that would be a bad idea because if you rebuild a car they want to inspect it before you can register it. well good luck anyways, could always buy a 240 with clean tile and sawsall it into a bunch of little piecesso it wont tak eup too much room. i think it would be worth it to have a r34 .

What about saying you built it from parts of ther cars and regestering it as a kit car?? To do that I believe you need pics of the construction though, but that wouldn't be too hard with hotrex style ms paint
