Or go with the tokico kit that includes the springs and shocks for a reasonable price. On the accord I have goldline 2.25inch lowering springs with kybgr2 shocks and love the ride its not too stiff but not too soft either.

I have the H&R race springs on my 96 Civic with 16"s and the smallest tires they make for 16" rims, and there is about a millimeter of room between my tire and my fender well. Good luck trying to fit them with 17's

As long as you get a brand name spring it will feel good with a good set of shocks. Factory shocks will blow in a few months, maybe sooner.
Cheap springs. no name springs, will usually be softer and won't hold the car right, but they do the job, if you only care about lowering for looks.
Cheap Coilovers are ----, the ride bounces like a ****, even with decent shocks. I'm not a coilover fan unless...........

......................unless you get a complete set of coilover/strut combo like the Teins. But you are talking major money there.

Just go to ebay and get you a set of Tein/Eibach/H&R/Neuspeed springs with at least some KYB GR2 shocks, non adjustable but stiffer than stock, and you'll be happy.

I had a set of Dropzone springs with GR2's in my 88 hatch and love it. about $350
I had ebay coilovers and KYB AGX's in my 97 Coupe, it still bounced a little to much. about $450
I have H&R with stock shocks in the WRX and it feels awesome. Only $80, I love ebay....
I'm looking for a set of springs for a 90-93 Integra. I'll probably go with Tein.
