Default need help with this welder

I got a Miller XMT 304 CC/CV from a guy over here in Iraq. The guy said if i can get it workign I can have it. I wired it up 3phase and the code comes up for "Thermal protection malfunction" As this unit new is about $3500 i hope to get it fixed or possibly fix it myslef. I figure even if i spend 1500 on parts for it im still up another 2000. Anyway my question is there anyone that is good with troubleshooting them or fixing them? I will be back in the states next month and hope to get it fixed soon after i get back. Im not sure it the post office will ship it in a protective container or if i will have to ship it back with my units equipment. Either way I will get it home to the states. Can anyone help?

Can you fix a welder?

Obviously there's a short somewhere in the welder.

I was joking. In your post you say you're an electrician so that left me wondering if you expected someone more qualified than an electrician to chime in and tell you how to fix it.

I just dont know what to believe anymore

I'd assume that there's a thermo sensor in there that's malfunctioning and locking out the welding functions
