the 13th round

so im getting new tires for my birthday since im on 2 spares and 2 fixed flats, im lkeeping my stock wheels because its a sleeper
but i want to know what is the best tire i can get to fit on the stock wheels?
its an 88 civic and right now its on 175/70R13
the car is on a koni/nuespeed setup.
i really have no idea what to get so any first hand suggestions would be great.

---- 13" tires are dirt cheap, I've seen them for $19 each. But your looking for performance?
What state are you in? Do you get nasty winters? Just yesterday I had 4 185/65-14" Winterforce studable snow tires put on. I got a good deal, $230 with alinement out the door.
You should look for 185-195 / 60-65 13"s to keep a some what sleeper look with more grip.

ya, i'm lookin for some cheapie tires too. but i want the fattest ones that will fit on my stock 14's. so far i think i can fit 205's on there

I dont know the width on the 14" steelies, but 205's might start to get a buldge shape on the side wall, and hurt corners for then help.
