Next time you see me ask for an obd1 deadmans plug. I usually have one in my car, and for some reason i seem to find them in my pockets alot.

if you look around hard enough in the junkyard, you should be able to find a plug like the one on the resistor box. That would let you make a simple adaptor.

You can solder steel, you just need more heat. Pull it out of the plug, coat it with rosin, hit it with a torch till its glowing and add as much solder as you can get to stick.
