hdmi-hdmi

i have to warn you though, i was using this on my 46" and there was a slight delay when changing pictures. as far as cable brand, go with the monster. they use different types of shielding that will block interference with other cables and power sources. currently i'm using monster component cables and generic audio cables that the cable guy gave me.

If you have the HDMI ports, then I'd say use them. I'm not sure what you know or not about them, but I'll try and break it down as easily as possible. With Component/S-Vid/Composite video, you are losing quality because you have a digital signal in your DVD player, which then has to convert it to Analog to be sent through the cables, then your TV converts it back to digital inside the television. So with those conversions, you lose a little bit of quality. So that's where DVI and HDMI come into play. They are a digital cable in themselves, so there isn't any A-D conversion, and that equals better picture. Now DVI is a cable that carries only the video. HDMI does the same, but also incorporates sound. So either you get the cable that does only video, or the one that does both. Just because DVI only does video does not mean it does it better. They both do it great, except HDMI also does the sound, which is why I say that you might as well just use the HDMI if you have it. Then instead of all those wires behind your stereo that people have, you can cut it way down with just a couple HDMI cables, and then add in some wireless speakers. Then your tangled mess of cables behind there will be no more!!

That thing looks way too futuristic for me.

I have a 27" Sanyo manufactured in 1999 that still works fine for me. :P

the best buy employee doesn't make comission, and the shielding in the cables makes all the difference in the world. ever wonder why the radio shack cable is as thin as spagetti? because its a piece of ----. its like saying ssauto makes the same manifolds as full-race
