I went through about 2 bottles on it, just a little 50 shot and then next thing you know, I heard the loudest ticking noise. I needed new rod bearings. Had someone do that since I'm up in school and about 2 hrs away from home. Came home a few weeks ago, drove the car around for about 100 miles. FINE. Next thing I know, I hear it coming back now. Not nearly as loud as before, but I'm confident its going to rise to that level. I think I'm just gonna throw in another 2.4 (used) with hopefully 50k or so. Then i'm gonna piece together a turbo kit for that.
1. Rebuilt
2. Rebuilt
3. OEM GM Crate 2.4L
4. Rebuilt
5. Rebuilt
6. Crank snapped in 2 pieces, OEM GM Crate motor.
all warrenty. it has to do w/ holding the motor at higher RPM's and causin the oil to get sucked into the head via the pump.
after the 6th motor in his car it seemed to be fixed.. i'll ask him what they did. I think they ended up using a new 2.4l somethng about 99 and earlier having this problem.
yours all #3 rod bearing too?

Re:My Intrro
not sure which one it was. However, I'm just going to throw another motor in it (used), but I doubt it will be form a 99+. With these cars, poeple tell me the swap is the easiest if you get the same year motor as your car.

Re:My Intrro
I was checking out a GM forum, and there are some people bolting the 3400 V6 in the jbody, I'm not a fan of nose heavy small car's, but 200hp and a bunch of tourq before the boost sounds like fun. I bet a single T4 would go well with a 3.4 V6.
Oh wait, better yet go HMT style and use 2 14b's.
