Technically, since you really only use the first 4 inches of the intercooler to actually cool the intake charge, the extra mass from the hoppers should effectively allow more thermal transfer from the IC itself.

you should relocate the license plate and use it as a front spoiler to increase downforce and direct air into the intercooler.
I'm sure that alone will add 5hp AND blow the bugs off the IC
