no scaring what so ever on the cyl walls..."good compression test", i cant see how they could be that fucked up.

Sorry for a newB building question but how does something like that happen? Wrong ring gaps? Too much of a hone? I'm just not sure how there is tham much of a gap between the piston and the cylinder wal and it's still holding compression Just kind of confusing whow it got that way.

I have seen 600+ hp 350's with with a little play in them. (just as much as this)

I think im gonna go with it.

Did you do the compression test yourself, see the test or are you just relying on what the person who sold it to you said? You can ---- up some pistons pretty bad and not touch the cylinder walls. I've fucked up alot of motors in my time so I've seen it happen.

i think it is good to have the ring that 'accessable' in case you want to change it without pulling out the piston
