Default My free sand blasting

I found a use for my co op students, I get them to sand blast all my ---- for free in there school. heres a pic of the oil pan and the valve cover sand blasted and painted high heat.(for fully built DOHC ZC)


anyone near hamilton ontario I can hook u up, I also got my block done it looks awsome. This should be great to see any oil leaks if I have any

Just paint the block black. if you cant see an oil leak, there are none. haha.

if you sandblasted your block, you better cleant he ---- out of the oil passages GOOD. if you start that motor with abrasive in the oil passages, goodbye bearings.

when u spend $$$$$ to build a high boost engine I think it is a little bit better to keep an eye on oil leaks. Thats the diff between a nice engine and a POS engine

powerwashed it like 6 times and and brake cleand it like 3 times and air blasted it for 5 min the first time. I spent a lot of time cleaning this bitch.

ya I will, but for the first time in my driving life im taking my time, my car wont be done till the spring and then its going to jk motersports for a week to be tuned, I figure I will just leave the car with him and get josh to tune me like a black man at a clann meeting.

im sure you did but you need to concentrate specifically on the oil passages. if there is any oil residue in them, which your not cleaning out with justa powerwasher then the sand will embed in it. take a couple cans of brake clean and an air hose and go to town on all the little holes/passages. trust me on this ive done alots of sandblasting/powdercoating and that ---- hides even when you think its clean enough its not.

Im a mechanic in a shop, I used up about 7cans of not my brake cleaner on it. The day I got it back at work I spend the whole day blowing it off then hitting it with the brake cleaner
