At the track Friday, making some runs on the new drag radials...

I've decided my car has a curse.

First it held too much boost, then it held no boost. Took the internal wastegate bolts off the mounting place on the compressor, and the vaccuum can portion fell off. Super, broken wastegate, just what I always wanted!

Even better news I think it took out some ringlands when it broke. 2000miles on that rebuild

Oh then I got home and the alarm doesn't work any more. So if anyone wants to come steal a civic, feel free. Column is already broken from the last buy that tried to.

Compression test results to follow:


1. 190psi
2. 200psi
3. 165psi (oily cylinder/sparkplug)
4. 190psi

guess I only killed one, cylinder had oil in it so im guessing thats why it still test 165psi

Sucks dude. I hate the black death curse, just fixed mine. It's not like it's a hard issue to deal with, it's just a pain in the ***.

true, but having it happen over something shitty like a internal wastegate can breaking in half is the suck.

especially with about 2000 miles on the block.
