my 5th gen hatch was totaled infront of my house.....
yea so i parked my car infront of my house and some old bitch smashed into it.....and if you see the sebring...that happened when i parked my moms car in the road 2 weeks b4 mine got hit in the same spot...yea i shouldnt have parked there...but we lived here for like 8 years and nobody hit our cars b4 so why be worried about it. i figured there was no way someone was gonna hit mine that soon after my moms got hit......sure enough

theyre giving me 2800 for the car and i buy it back for 450....i found another hatch for 300 bucks with a bunch of ---- fucked up on it...luckily everything thats fucked up on that hatch i can swap from my wrecked one....which happens to be motor, hood , fenders , doors , brakes , rotors , interior , headlights , front bumper....hah its not as bad as it sounds but i just dont like dents and that car has little dents all over it... so yea its gonna work out though that im gonna have about 2000 to put into the motor....so i guess having to lose an si and end up with a dx isnt so bad when its gonna have a nicer motor........i have a 96 ls motor in it now but im gonna def make it ls vtec ....i heard there was a article type deal that tells you approximatly how much power you will put out with different ls vtec set ups..as far as internals....Do any of you guys know what im talking about......its gonna be all motor if i can get enough power out of it....i cant afford to deal with a turbo honda..it being my dd and all

Stock internal LS/Vtec should put down about 170-175whp.
I'm not sure what mine puts down but I think its a little more with the 12.5:1 compression
Just make sure you build it right with all the correct parts or it will be coming through your hood.
Type R oil pump
DOHC VTEC water pump
ARP rod bolts or if you really want to go the extra mile H beam rods
A nice thing to buy is the golden eagle ls/vtec kit. Comes with everything that you need to put the Vtec head on eg. Dowels that are turned down on one end so you don't have to bore out the holes on the front of your block or back of your head because they locate on opposite sides from LS to DOHC Vtec.
Use the stock LS head gasket or you will see lots of oil leakage.
