msd problem

Default msd problem

so today i connect my msd like the manual says with internal coil so i start the car and the car started up stalling because it was a little cold so i left it a 2k rpms so it can warm up fast so when it warmed up i let go of the gas and the car stalled and the check engine light came up and i stepped on the gas and it wouldnt pass 3k rpms what could that be

i woudl bet its an ignition problem .


double check your wires and make sure there right and connected good.

i did after i plugged it i turned it on and when it stalled i unplugged everything and plugged it back up and still the same thing

hold on. did you bother to make sure you wired the coil/ignitor polarity right? also, did you bother to remove the 3000rpm rev lim pill and cut the red/blue wires under the black cap for 4cyl?

good reasons for msd to not work. the problem is 99% wiring

call MSD and tell them whats happening. they will have you do a few things in your car. i had spark but no signal because toyota 22r dizzy pickup coils are very weak signal and it wasn't triggering for ----. they said what i needed to do, and they were right
